H. J. Cannon went to be with his maker yesterday.

His lifetime home was Fairfield, Texas where he retired as a employee of the State of Texas and farmed sheep and goats along with Border Collies that he trained and successfully competed in sheepdog trials. H. J. served several terms as TSDA director as the Association had it new beginning.

He was recognized for association with a local church where he served in several capacities.  Many beginning and aspiring sheep dog handlers were welcomed by H. J.  on their way to reaching their ambitions.

Father of two sons H. J. Cannon Jr and Harold Gene Cannon.
