Trial starts at 7 am - handlers meeting 6:45 am.
TSDA Annual Meeting and Banquet will be Saturday night at 6 pm in the barn on trial site. . There is no charge for the banquet. Reminder to bring 2014 revolving trophies. All year end award will be presented at banquet except for the Open class.
Friday night will be wine and appetizers by Elmarie Basson during the silent auction. Sally Tompson and Michele McGuire will be on hand with their books for sale and signing. Soft drinks and appetizers will be provided. Bring additional beverage of your choice. Elmarie Basson will be our hostees. Everyone is welcome, spouses, friends, etc.
TRIPLE CROWN TRIALS: KEEP IN MIND THAT THE SHEEP DOG FINALS IS THE LAST OF THE THREE TRIPLE CROWN TRIALS. THE FIRST RUN AT FINALS IS THE TRIPLE CROWN TRIAL.
Payback: $40.00 payback plus $2,000 added premium by TSDA, plus any sponssorship money collected Pay 2 go-rounds plus average. Pay by TSDA guidelines.
Class Run Order: Friday: Open (7:00 am). After a few runs will begin the Open Ranch Class. An update of run order after the closing date.
Open Class: 2 runs - 40% run back, clean slate for finals on Sunday.
Friday/Saturday - 2 runs of Open Ranch, Ranch, Novice and Nursery. Two runs in OR, Ranch, Novice, Nursery combined scores to determine winners.
No dogs allowed that have not been vacinated and all puppies need to be kept in a pen or crate at all time, do not be walking them.
Judges:
Jim Diamond: Jim lives in Ireland. He has always bred and trained his own dogs except for the occasional bought pups. Represented Ireland at the International four times. Judged dog trials in Switzerland, Holand, France, England and Canada. Also judged the Irish National and International. Over fifty years of age working and trialing dogs.
John Maginn: John is a sheep Farmer from Co. Down in Northern Ireland. Has been running dogs in trials for over 40 years. Mostly breed and train his own dogs. Has many accolades under his belt including winning the Irish National Sheepdog trials TWICE. Once in 1994 with Glen and current Irish National Champion at present with Mozz. Represented Ireland many times in the International Sheepdog Trials having good success with Mozz and Fly. Been on one man on his dog representing Ireland. Over the years has judged many trials both home and abroad and has even traveled to Canada to judge trials there.
