  • Judge:  Faansie Basson, South Africa.  On the two days immediately following Top of the Hill SDT (February 24 and February 25) in Fredericksburg, TX, Faansie Basson will be available for lessons at the Burkey Ranch.  Faansie judged the USBCHA Finals this year. He has competed at the World Trial in Britain twice. In South Africa he has been National Champion 7 times. Competing in the US he has won Meeker and has been runner up at Soldier Hollow three times. He’s kind to dogs and an effective teacher...this is a great opportunity to work with a super trainer.
  • Top of the Hill Double Lift Gather: The 10 high scoring Open dogs from Wind Chill and Top of the Hill will compete in the Double Lift Gather--the 5 scores from both trials will be combined (your lowest score will be dropped) to select the top 10 dogs.

  • Entries may be limited.  Maximum 3 dogs per handler, per class.  Send seperate check for third dos.  Will run as many third dogs as space allows, by random draw if necessary.

Directions

Directions: From downtown Fredericksburg, go west on Main Street to where Hwy 290 and Hwy 87 split. Go left 7.3 miles out Hwy 290 toward Harper. About 6 miles out you will cross Honey Creek and just a little farther you will cross Honey Creek again. Start watching on the right for Reeh Weinheimer Rd. It’s on a curve so you have to be watching. Turn right on Reeh Weinheimer Rd and go 3.1 miles to Weinheimer Rd. Turn right and go 1.8 miles. After the second cattle guard, watch for Sundheimer Rd on your left. This is a caliche ranch road. Stay on this road until the fourth gate which is a metal Lifetime gate, about 1 mile in. (don’t turn left on Mc Iinish rd) This is the entrance to our ranch. Stay on the same road until you come to another gate on the left. Turn here and follow around until you see the trial field.
