Armadillo SDT Update (11/1/2016)
Final preparations are underway for the Armadillo. The number of entries is gratifying, and I appreciate the support that everyone is showing by attending. On Friday and Saturday, we will have the Open handlers meeting at 7:30; disregard the times on the TSDA website. The website gives the Friday and Saturday class order as Open, Open Ranch, and Nursery. There is the possibility that we may not have enough time (I estimate we will need about an hour) to run Nursery on those days. If it appears we won’t be able to complete Nursery, both goes will be rescheduled to Sunday morning before Ranch class starts.

• 2 trials/3days/2 entry fees
• Handlers' Meeting 7:45. Handlerslers' meeting immediately before each class starts.
• Entry Fee (O, OR, Nursery, R): $50, payback $22. Novice entry fee $28 (no payback). Payout will be according to TSDA guidelines.
• Entries will open October 1 and close October 31. Late entries will not be accepted.
• Checks will be cashed on November 2, 2016.
• Maximum of 3 entries/handler/class. Send a separate check for the 3rd dog. Entries will be closed when and if 70 runs (O, OR, and Nursery combined) are reached.
• Send entries to John Lewis; 13437 FM 2093; Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Make checks payable to "John Lewis, Special Account."
• On-site Secretary: Martha Howell. Course Director: John Lewis
• Open Outrun: 400 yards. Trial field will be the same as last year.
• Stock: fine wool ewes (same flock as last year); sheep replacement fee, $250.
• Class order:
Friday: Open1, OR1, Nursery1
Saturday: Open2, OR2, Nursery2
Sunday: Ranch and Novice classes will run twice (Ranch1, Novice1, Ranch2, Novice2) on Sunday after the other classes have run. Ranch1 will begin immediately after the other classes have been completed, but not before 10:00 Sunday.
• Nursery class will require at least five entries to run.
• Lunch on Site, donations welcome.
• RV Parking (no hook-ups). Park on the RIGHT side of the road.
Directions
• From Fredericksburg: Depart on TX 16 south toward Kerrville. Turn west (right) onto FM 2093; this intersection is at an RV park and will be the last trafficlight in Fredericksburg. Continue west about 13 miles on FM 2093 and turn left onto Pump Station Road (will be a sign). Parking will be across the river on the RIGHT side of the road.
• From I-10 west: Exit on US 290 (toward Fredericksburg). In Harper, turn right onto FM 2093 at the flashing caution light. Continue on FM 2093 about 9½ miles and turn right onto Pump Station Road (will be a sign). Parking will be across the river on the RIGHT side of the road.
• From San Antonio area on US 87: Turn left onto Friendship Lane at the first traffic light in Fredericksburg. In a couple of miles, Friendship Lane crosses TX 16 and becomes FM 2093. Continue west about 13 miles on FM 2093 and turn left onto Pump Station Road (will be a sign). Parking will be across the river on the RIGHT side of the road.
• From Kerrville: Head north on Sidney Baker (TX 16). Turn left onto FM 2093 at the first traffic light in Fredericksburg. Continue west about 13 miles on FM 2093 and turn left onto Pump Station Road (will be a sign). Parking will be across the river on the RIGHT side of the road.
