USBCHA & TSDA Sanctioned

  1. Judge:  Frankie McCullough, Ireland,  He is a life long sheep farmer with 700 ewes on a hill farm and 2 offshore islands and has recently retired as a contract sheep shearer but remains  a senior judge on the British Isles circuit. Sheepdogs have been a been a necessary part of sheep his farming also has provided great successes on the sheepdog trial scene in Northern Ireland. In 2006 Craig was the Irish driving champions and was member of the national team.  2010 brought Craig the Irish National championship and another of his dogs, Jake, was 3rd at that event. Both of them qualified for the world trial in 2011. Craig garnered the honor of "Champion of Champions" in 2011 in Wales.   Frankie was Irish team captain when the World trial was held at Lowther estate at Cumbria, England and secured the Gold medal.  On another occasion he represented Ireland on the "One Man and His Dog" tv series.   Having judged many sheepdog trials over a lifetime , Frankie was honored to judge the world trial at Tullamore, Ireland in 2005. In recent years he has held clinics  and judged in Czech Republic and in 2014 Was honored to judge the Norwegian Championships.

  3. 3 open runs, 2 all other classes
  4. Open run on 10, 11, and 13. Hopefully one nursery class on the evening of the 11th. Other classes run on 12
  5. Not paid back by Tsda rules. Pay back all money over expenses. No nursery payback
  6. Nursery dogs only run in one class unless entry's are low enough to allow that. That will be determined day of classes.
  7. We have some added money that will be jack potted separately in the open class for open competitors that have never won an open class, not counting arena trials. So the open class will have the normal pay out and a separate one that only non winners are eligible for.
  8. Books open January second. . Books close January fifteenth . Pay attention. This is a shorter window. No limit on entry's but send third dog checks separately. Payment must be with entry.
  9. Late entry accepted at our discretion, but a penalty will be incurred.

  13. Complimentary handlers dinner on Sunday night.

Directions

Trial is located at the gun club, off the south service road east of town on IH 10.  "At I10 exit 261, get on south service road going east (away from town). Travel about 1 mile to GUN CLUB entry, it is a cattle guard.  Trial site is 300 yds or so into the gun club property.
