List of Safety Protocols
The trial as a Covid-19 safety protocol requests that all handlers:
1. Request all handler’s to familiarize themselves with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidelines regarding COVID-19.
2. Request all handler’s to familiarize themselves with Greg Abbot, Governor of Texas Executive Order GA 29 (“Executive Order 29”) relating to the use of face coverings during the COVID-19 disaster.
3. Request that handler’s abide by CDC Guidelines and Executive Order 29
Due to Covid, NO meals will be available at the trial this year nor will we have any other organized meals at night.

****If we are oversubscribed, it is likely that we’ll run the 2/1 dog method that we have used in the past. It would help Vivian with the books if you could cut one check for three Open runs ($285.00 if you enter two dogs) and one check ($95) for the one open run. It is also possible that we could have a draw … preference to those with an early postmark.
NOTE: The online entries will provide Vivian with the exact date and time you submit your entry!!
HANDLERS MEETING:
START TIME: -
Open will run Tuesday thru Friday. Nursery will run Saturday. DL on Sunday.
The plan is to run the same two courses that we ran last year …including the dog leg fetch.
The double lift will be the top 15 combined scores for 15 different handlers. No handler will run twice in the DL. We will run on 20 sheep on Sunday.
We will have a socially distanced handlers meeting at 5:00 pm on the 15th.
We will run on 280 fresh Cheviot cross lambs from Jack and Kathy Knox. If we have more dogs than we can accommodate on fresh sheep, we will mix the lambs early on the first day.
Sheep replacement cost $300.
Entry to the trial field for campers and RVs is at the black gate on top of the hill. Enter over a cattle guard. Once you pass the block building, which will be on your right, turn right and pass through the green gate for camper parking.
Dry camping on site. Water is available on site.
From Austin: Take Hwy 290 East toward Houston. Pass through Brenham. As you exit Brenham you will cross over Blue Bell Road. From this point, continue on Hwy 290 for 2.9 miles east until you get to Indian Paint Brush Road. There is no light or stop sign on 290 here so watch for Philips Veterinary Hospital which is on the corner and to your left. Turn left on Indian Paint Brush. Continue on Indian Paint Brush for 1.8 miles until you get to the stop sign which is Old Chappell Hill Road. Turn left on Old Chappell Hill. In 4/10th of a mile, Old Chappell Hill Road veers off to the right but you will stay straight onto Mustang Road. The trial field will be ½ mile further on your left.
From Houston: Take Hwy 290 West toward Austin. There will be a red light in Chappell Hill. From this red light, continue west for 3.7 miles until you get to Indian Paint Brush Road. Philips Veterinary Hospital is on the corner and to your right. Turn right on Indian Paint Brush Road. Continue on Indian Paint Brush for 1.8 miles until you get to the stop sign which is Old Chappell Hill Road. Turn left on Old Chappell Hill Road. In 4/10th of a mile, Old Chappell Hill veers off to the right but you will stay straight onto Mustang Road. The trial field will be ½ mile further on your left.
